This is what makes it imo, the best farm. It’s incredibly easy to designate certain areas for specific tasks, such as top left for farming, bottom left for buildings, bottom right for cattle and top right for machines. Instead of having one or no special features like the other farms, the four corners map says screw that and has nearly every gimmick! Though the map is intended for multiplayer it is amazing for singleplayer due to the ease of orginizing your farm and it having all of the other maps features, as mentioned before. Though it doesn’t have fancy gimmicks such as quaries or hardwood it is still the favourite of many people. The standard farm is amazing for beginners and veterans alike, it provides a huge area to build and farm on that can be customized to your liking. The space to the left of the farmhouse is a great area to begin farming and the area below the first stairs can be a good space to place buildings. The hill to the right of the screen is an area which can house a small farmland or things like beehouses. The quary might take a long time to create ores and they’re usually low quality, but you can utslize that large area for cattle if you feel like it. The hilltop farm takes this spot in my list simply because of appearence. It was tough for me to decide between the forest and beach farm for this spot. I known that it technically has a high amount of tillable tiles, but for someone like me who likes symmetry there’s pretty much only one option of where to place crops, in the middle or in front of the house. The forest farm gives you easy access to hardwood and foraged items and is also appealing visually, but the thing that makes me put it here is the lack of farm space. But an iridium watering can with the new area increasing enchantment is able to mostly solve this issue, so it’s mostly mid game that you’ll be struggling. If you aren’t farming then you’re missing out on a lot of income, and on this map it’s hard to make major crop areas due to the time you need to spend watering them. Early game this isn’t a big problem due to the low amount of crops you have, but later this becomes a problem. But even with these positives there’s one major downside, the inability to place sprinklers. Another bonus for this map is the supply crates that can wash up on shore. The new beach farm is stunning and provides both foraging and fishing opportunities. I know that monster spawning can be disabled in the witch’s hut, but i think it’s too late into the game to be considered when picking a farm to start on, but it’s a nice option for those who love the wilderness layout but not the monsters and have the determination to play that long. The lake in the middle is also a negative for me, i think it takes up to much space and is an eyesore. They quickly become tedious to deal with and aren’t that fun imo. Though the wilderness farm provides a fair amount of space and looks fairly nice it’s still low on my list due to the monsters that spawn during night. Another thing to mention is that even though it’s supposed to encourage fishing the fish that can be caught aren’t that good compared to other places. The riverland farm is my least favourite map due to it’s limited space and simply because if it’s appearence. How would you rank all the different maps currently in the game? This is not meant to attack anyone for hating a farm or loving another, it’s just a discussion for people that want talk about this topic.ħ. With the new beach farm in 1.5 i think it’s time to bring up this discussion again. Buy it for Console: PS4, Switch, Xbox One.or apply for prestige flair!
